HALERP supports multiple units of measure. The product can be expressed in multiple units of measure at once. Make sure that all the units of measure used for a product are in the same units of measure category. There are many business cases where the purchase is done in bulk to get the price benefits and the same product sale in a different unit of measure.
Steps - Item Master:
1.Go to Inventory->Item List -> Create New.
2. To create a new item with basic fields refer the following document.

3. Under Item Property Section, need to select UOM (Base Unit).
4. Under the section ALTERNATE UNIT OF MEASURES select Multiple UOM as Yes.
5. Next to that drop-down select Add Items to select a unit of measure and enter related multiplier into that.(refer below screenshot)
6. The base unit is what you selected on the UOM dropdown in Step 3, alternate measures are set up in the grid. Note that You cannot enter the multiplication factor as 1 in the grid.
Steps - Item Receipt
1. Go to Menu -> Item Receipts -> Create New.

3. Under Item Details, Select Add Items to select the items with Unit of Measure. (refer to Screenshot)
Inventory Impact
Note that inventory is always tracked in the base unit that is set up in the item master. Eg, in the above receipt, if you receive 1 Box of the item, the inventory would be updated with 6 Pieces. Similarly, during sales, you can choose 1 Bag of the above item and 10 pieces of it would be removed from the inventory.
So always make sure that you set the base unit as the lowest unit in which you would be selling this item. Alternate units would always be sold in multiples of the base unit.
