HAL Interface Walkthrough

New design
Today’s ERP’s were created decades of years back and being continuously updated, forcing us to work on the same old structure that was relevant for that time
So we came up with something new that is designed today and to be used for tomorrow

User experience
We particularly focused on giving an experience to users so that you love it, consider it to be part of yourselves at the same time both fluid and smooth.

Feel like browsing
~ Enjoy the ease of social networking at HAL ERP

We have put whole ERP on web based interface to make them feel they are just browsing through a website or purely a social networking experience

Personalized User Menus
~ Let ERP be the way you look at things

We want you to personalize and start having relationships with our HAL ERP through user-specific horizontal menus

Full Screens
~ Your space so you deserve it!

We want to give you space through full screens at multiple levels getting you out of the clutter

Let HAL ERP occupy the entire screen of the computer

Go full screen with the application at the use

Google it!
~ Who told I don’t know?

We do not want you to feel that they are working on the software. If you do not know, as you google, you should be able to google or search the entire ERP right from menus to reports

Reports
~ Let us change the way it works

Reports are an integral part of the ERP system helping users to make the right decision at right time.  We find most ERP’s force users to go to a particular place to fetch reports they want. This means they use it to submit reports not for what it should be i.e., keeping them up-to-date.

We thought about this really hard. We want to change the fundamental way of reporting. We wanted users to know what they are working on in a few seconds, look at related history should they want more details, have a birds-eye on your organization or departments

So We went a little far with reports. We came up with an idea of four-level reporting

1. Dashboards
~ Go multiple levels

Giving users business intelligence/analytics enabling them to have better control of their organizations/departments/responsibilities

2. Status at Glance (SAG’s)
~ Get it in 60 seconds

In small boxes, we give users the numbers they need to be aware of at a glance. We have further color-coded it calling their attention and alertness

3. Details Table
~ Dive deep down!

It lets the users to know what is happening and what has happened. Keeping up with the idea of clutter-free, we have powered our users to get dynamic reports through grouping the data of interest. Not just one level but multiple levels.

Group by drop
~ No limits to make sense of data

Intelligent spot
~ Give data the perspective

Considering nuances of data, that it is no more one single item rather it is connected with many similar items. We have designed an intelligent spot giving perspective to every single piece of data. It brings you all related information about data at hand with the click of a tiny triangle

Report analysis
~ The Excel way

We do not want users to just download reports as excel, work on it sometimes making the system out of date. So we gave in core functions of excel in report analysis using excel-like Data filters, sorting, and much more

All these three-level of reports comes before user activity like creating an invoice or recording the expense. This simple inverting of the way other systems work is quite phenomenal and fundamental. Users are getting reports without going and fetching the report

4. Traditional Reports
~ You don’t miss the old ones too

Changing the approach should not leave people off the boat. So we have accommodated traditional reporting like all reports in one place but we have given it the power of details table

Accessibility
~ Put your office into your pocket

Over time, we have learned that ability of users to access their work, reports, files whenever, wherever they want will increase productivity apart from the way it kills the time delays in getting work done.

Many attempted this with mobile apps but ended up not giving users the complete freedom and accessibility having limitations of mobile apps in restricted access, platform dependency, and cost that is involved in developing it

So we went little further in bringing offices into the pocket. We have made HAL ERP to work in any browser without the need to develop an app for each OS. Right from start, we made sure our designs passes the test of whatever works on a computer screen should work on the mobile screen as well

Faster world
~ Cruise at higher speed

We have realized that we are no more repairing cars when it is at a halt rather we have to fix them when it is running. Our approach is Rapid deployment. Designing everything on HAL’s framework was a breakthrough indeed. With the capabilities of HAL’s framework, we were able to design an application in less than two weeks than what we could have achieved with the traditional way in 3 months

All in all, our dream of designing an ERP in a way the users will do things instead of making it easier from software design is well realized. Now we are out to realize our dream of sharing such benefits to every business, educational institution, and social projects. Join us! We can achieve a lot together!
